This Sunday we are nearing the end of our journey through St. Matthew’s Passion, Matthew chapters 26-28. It is also Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday is the annual remembrance of Jesus entering into Jerusalem on a donkey to the cheers and shouts of “Hosanna” by the people, welcoming him as a king. We’ll hear that story, sing Hosanna along with the kids processional with their palm branches, and pray a prayer of confession around the same theme. Then we’ll transition into looking at Matthew 27.1-26.

At 9a we’ll hear a mission moment about our upcoming Men’s Retreat and at 10:45a we’ll welcome new members.

Each Sunday we celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. It points us to Christ’s death for us in the past, his present work feeding our souls, and our future hope in the kingdom of God.

Here are the songs you will be singing:

Come and Sing, Hail to the Lord’s Anointed, HosannaJesus Keep Me Near the Cross,  One Hanging on a TreeWood and NailsYour Labor is Not in Vain.

Listen on Spotify or Youtube or click on the individual links above. Take a listen and be familiar with the songs so you’ll be ready to sing come Sunday morning.

We meet each Sunday at 9a & 10:45a for worship at the church building at the corner of Floral and Washington, 4400 Floral Ave., 45212Please sit toward the front of the sanctuary and toward the center of the rows so that folks can grab seats as they make their way in.

PARENTS- ALL children (including children’s church) should be dropped off at their regular classes BEFORE worship starts (kids will sing at both services). The teachers will line up the kids who are singing (Preschool 3 through 4th grade), distribute palm branches and lead the children into the sanctuary at the appropriate time.  You will pick up your child at his/her regular class at the end of the hour as usual.  We’ll see you in the morning for a joy-filled worship hour  :)
